The Lord has blessed us with our food allergies, because now all the food we eat is real food. What I mean by real food is fresh fruits and vegetables, meat without all the added salt and sugar, no preservatives and additives. We are now eating real, healthy, wholesome food.

Sorry for the bad quality picture; it was late and the lighting bad.

Today the main thing I am thankful for are our sweet friends who made us this meal. Our family has had a virus going around, so a young couple from church offered to make something for us. When we got it we were surprised with a wonderful casserole, a big salad, and marvelous “chocolate” covered strawberries! It was so sweet that someone would think of us in this way and make us a nice meal that we could still enjoy despite the food allergies in our family.

HSA, Homeschool Alumni, is a forum I am a member of. It may sound strange to say I am thankful for a website, but it’s because how the Lord has blessed me with HSA that makes me thankful. The Lord has used HSA to help me meet wonderful people I would not have been able to meet otherwise, and they have grown to be dear friends.

It may sound like an odd thing to be grateful for although whenever I find bread, or any food I can eat I am so thankful to the Lord. I used to not think much about it, because to me it was just food. Now that I have hypoglycemia and have to avoid sugar and gluten I see how much of a blessing it is to have bread, jelly, even peanut butter that I can eat!

I love that even in the middle of Fall or Winter we will still get a bright blue sky.

I decided to take a picture of our cat, Harmony, today because we just got back from a trip yesterday and I missed my cats while we were gone. I am so grateful to have her. She is such a wonderful cat.
